What To Expect
We will drive with our vehicle to the southwest end of the peninsula of Jandia, Punta Pecebre.
Once we arrive we will start our first route. This route will take us northeast along the imposing windward coast, to then enter a sandy area, leaving to our right the remains of an ancient volcanic building called Talahijas, which will accompany us to the ravine of Agua Cabras, which as its name suggests, runs a small thread of salty water (not always active) where goats have been satisfiying their thirst for centuries. Once arrived at this beautiful place we will only miss about 300 m to see the wild and beautiful beach of el Junquillo and la Punta del Junquillo. After a short break we will undo our steps having another perspective of the coast, to return to our vehicle .

Cofete
Once we have recharged our batteries we will drive with our van to one of the most spectacular and breathtaking scenery of Fuerteventura, Cofete. We will make a stop at the famous Winter House to contemplate it from the outside and then head to the old cemetery of Cofete. After the mandatory photos of such majestic scenery, we will head to the starting point of our second hike.

Villa Winter
We will drive to the mysterious Villa Winter for a close-up view. We will make a short stop for those who want to take a picture from the outside. We do not enter the villa.

We will make a short stop so that you can take some pictures of the beach , the surrounding mountains and contemplate the old cemetery of Cofete.

Roque del Moro Beach
Between cardones and a unique scenery we will descend through a path full of volcanic formations to the wild coast of Cofete where we will enjoy our picnic. Once we arrived at the beach, we wil take off our shoes and head south, until we reach an imposing stone monolith known as El Roque del Moro. After a rest we will retrace our steps back to the vehicle to return home after this unforgettable day.

This is amazing experience from start to finish. I had a fantastic time. Picnic was very nice. Outstanding views. Definitely recommend for people who enjoying walks.

We’ve spent 2 amazing days with Miguel from @Mahan Trekking. We did Betancuria and Cofete routes, and everything was perfect. Amazing natural landscapes, experienced guide, great coordination and logistics. Perfect option for safe adventure in Fuerteventura.

If you feel like hiking, you should definitely visit this tour. It was really worth seeing and exciting. Miguel was a great guide! He is a really nice dude. He was so sweet, he brought us a small lunch package and also prepared a picnic for us. All in all, we were grateful for this experience.
Schöne und empfehlenswerte Wanderung

Die Tour war sehr abwechslungsreich und hat einen sehr schönen Tag gefüllt. Alle in der Beschreibung erwähnten Ort wurden besucht, so dass die Erwartungen zu 100% erfüllt wurden - oder vielleicht sogar mehr, denn die Landschaft Fuerteventuras an sich ist unbeschreiblich. Besonders toll war, dass wir fernab vom Massentourismus waren. Die zurückgelegte Wanderstrecke war vom Schwierigkeitsgrad her sehr gut zu schaffen, allerdings nicht mit einem kurzen Bummel entlang der Promenade zu vergleichen. Wir waren in einer kleinen, netten Gruppe unterwegs, so dass der Tourguide Miguel auf jede einzelne Person eingehen konnte. Dabei haben wir viele Dinge gelernt und erklärt bekommen und man hat gemerkt, dass Miguel mit ganzem Herzen bei der Sache ist.
Das war ein echt toller Tag und die Wanderung ist wirklich empfehlenswert!

Ich habe mit Miguel eine Tour gemacht und er zeigt mir eine wunderschöne Seite von Fuerteventura, die mir zuvor noch nicht bekannt war. Wir fuhren einige Kilometer mit dem Auto und wanderten dann an den wunderschönen Strand Playa Lara. Ich war von der Aussicht und der Beschaffenheit der Natur sehr beeindruckt. Miguel zeigte mir Fossilien, wir bestimmten Pflanzen und er erklärte mir die geologischen Gegebenheiten auf Fuerteventura. Selbst ich als Biologin konnte bei dieser tollen Tour noch allerhand lernen.
Bei meinem nächsten Urlaub werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder eine Tour bei Mahan Trekking buchen, um mir noch weitere tolle Seiten Fuerteventura zeigen zu lassen.
