Trip to volcano was a great experience even tho you only get 15 minutes to look around but I wouldn’t do it again as the coat was a lot for 15 minutes
Lanzarote volcanoes from futerventura
This was a great trip to go on . It was well organised. The fast ferry lasted only 30 mins, the trip to El golfo and the volcanoes were awesome and informative. Don’t travel to the fire mountain in a hire car. You will queue for hours to get to the summit station . I advise you to go on a bus trip. The lava fields felt like you were in another world. Lunch was in a road side cafe next to the wine tasting . It was tapas and sandwiches. Make sure you have a big breakfast as you will not eat until 1400. Once you have been given a talk on the aloe Vera take a walk around the museum and learn a lot more about it. On the return journey dolphins were spotted so the captain turned the boat around to allow them to catch us up. The only downside was arriving to be informed we needed ID which meant a manic sprint back to the hotel to find out they weren’t needed. I would advise you to take photos of your passport and one of you carry a driving license.

Absolutely amazing trip. Yes you are travelling for a while but well worth it. The views are stunning, the guide very informative and the wine tastes lovely. You have to wear a mask but only on the coach as these are Spanish rules, deal with it. We took sandwiches but at the winery there is chance to buy lunch.
Volcano express
A great little tour very professionally curated by our guide and superbly driven by our coach driver. Some great views and stops, but the highlight has to be the gift shop at the winery stop. Every kind of tat possible is available, some so tacky even Delboy and Rodney wouldn't have it in their garage. Overall a very pleasant way to spend a day on holiday.
If you expect this trip to give a proper tour of the Aloe Vira exhibition or Vin Yard, you will be very disappointed.
I booked this through Trip Advisor. Communication before the trip was very poor. I had to ask more than once for the meet up location. I finally found it myself after searching the internet for the company office. A Map of the location would have been very helpful. We met at the ferry and were given wrist bands. I asked for more information about the itinerary but was told it would be explained on the boat. A detailed emailed itinerary would have been helpful. There were 3 coaches. English speakers on all three and shared with one other language group. We shared with Spanish speakers. Other coaches were either German or Italian speakers. It was fascinating to see the terrain on the trip to the volcano. Our guide gave us a talk in both languages. It was a little bit difficult to hear at times and he spoke very fast, but I was impressed by his ability to talk for so long, going back and forth between languages. We saw a few tricks with the volcanic activity at the tourist centre, near the top of the volcano. On our wY down from the volcano we listened to prerecorded information. Although the narrator, at times, was struggling to read from his sheet, it was very clear and easy to listen to. He repeated much of what the guide had said earlier. There was very little information of any real substance. The Aloe Vera Museum looked interesting but we were not encouraged to read any of the displays giving the history. Instead we had a talk about the benefits of the plant and how to cut it. We didn’t even have the chance to feel the juice coming directly from the plant. We were given a sample from the bottles for sale, instead. Then it was “plug the products for sale” time! There were many products for sale with similar packaging and not a lot of guidance on the shelving of what each product was for. This meant having to check out the bottles, close up. Not easy in such a small area with lots of other people about. I asked if I could go and look at the museum exhibition. This was met with some surprise. I had to leave it as we didn’t have time! Our next stop was at the vin yard. The area around the vin yard was extensive and set in a lovely location. Our tour consisted of seeing a Line of different bottles and being shown which ones we could have a sample of. We were only allowed a very small glass of either sweet or dry wine. We couldn’t even have a taste of both!!! There was no tour of the vin yard or talk about the process of making the wine. Although we did notice another tour company had a proper tour. Instead we were once again encouraged to look around the shop and given a whole hour to get something to eat and wander around the wine and gift shops. Both the Museum and Vin Yard visits felt very commercialised. Our trip to the Green Lagoon was a site worth seeing. The coast line was breathtaking and it was a short walk of only about five minutes to the lake. Although the lake was strikingly different to the terrain and well worth seeing, it was the geological patterns of the rock and the picturesque coast line that really stood out. The ferry home was busier than the one coming but there were still plenty of seats. It was very clean and comfortable. Soft and alcoholic drinks could be purchased on board. The only member of staff to make any real connection was Hilde who gave out arm bands as she greeted us at the ferry and gathered them back in as we boarded the ferry for our return to Fuerteventura. Unfortunately, she was not on our bus. There was very little rapport with any of the others, although the Driver on our first leg of the journey, Charlie, was warm, charming and friendly. It was a very interesting and tiring day that was ok; but could have been so much better. Sadly there seemed to be more interest in encouraging people to spend money than to providing them with any in-depth facts. We would have preferred to have skipped the Aloe Vera visit for a proper tour of the Vin Yard. Or had a little less driving around the volcano to give more time for a proper Vin Yard tour. As it stood, the Aloe Vera trip was not a ‘museum trip’ but simply a commercial demonstration and we certainly did not have a “Vin Yard tour” but once again, an extremely thinly veiled, commercial discussion on the types of wine available to buy. I would not waste my time on this multi point tour. In future I would take a single point tour to the volcano and a separate one to the Vin Yard. A trip to the lagoon would be an added bonus if it could be added to another tour but not worth while on its own, unless you are already in Lanzarote. As for the Aloe Vera Museum, I would simply read about it’s history on-line and buy any products I wanted, in town. I hope that this helps you to make your choices.
